Barbie for Chilli Beans
How might we create an interactive and playful showcase of Barbie sunglasses for the Chilli Beans store?
project overview
For this project, the Chilli Beans store already had an older Barbie furniture which they wanted to reuse and modernise. The project requirements were to create a playful furniture in which the products can be displayed following the Barbie brand retail guidelines.

process
After carefully studying the Barbie brand and researching possible interactions, I sketched a few options and proceeded to 3D model, to match with the limiting area. The layout was discussed within the team and improved until a design was chosen. This was then sent for the approval of Mattel in several iterations to align the details and fit to the clients expectations.
For production, I created the technical drawings and specifications and remained in close contact with the manufacturing company to align the material and colors, making sure the results were as desired.

The Barbie for Chilli Beans furniture involves the user in the Barbie world, as soon as you step onto the pink carpet. It makes the variety of sunglasses models visible and offers a product table-top display for highlights. The children can choose a model and try them on themselves and also on Barbie with 4 different styles.
