Chocolate
How might we create a toy brand that has a presence in a saturated market?
project overview
Brinquedos Chocolate was a new toy company entering the toys market. They needed a strong branding that would stand out from the competition. This brand would be the umbrella for many product lines, which would have their own identities. My role was not only to develop the brand but I was responsible for the creation of institutional, marketing and product design.

process
The first step was to perform research on the competitors and other companies with similar products to make sure the brand would stand out from the competition. I also searched for visual references that would help me with the creative process.
The second step was to list the keywords I would like to convey in the brand. That also contributes to visualising the concepts into a graphic piece.
Then I proceeded to brainstorming and sketching logos, typography and shapes as a creative exercise until I developed a few options with potential. These options are then further developed with color studies.
These studies are sent for the client to gather feedback, and validate if the options are going in the right direction. This process is then iterated until a final logo is decided.
As a continuation, the visual identity surrounding the logo is developed, with graphic compositions studies. The iterative process repeats, culminating in the brand guidelines document.

results
The branding guidelines was the basis to create a collection of products in the categories institutional, marketing and product. The institutional category included Word and Power Point template, business cards and email signature. For marketing, I created animated social media posts, product catalog and events invitations. My role in product development included the definition of the toys colors and printed stickers and packaging.
