Velociti Venture
How might we create a brand for that represents the concepts of energetic and dynamic, stable and reliable?
project description
VeloCiti Ventures is a holding company that is involved with energy, financial services (insurance and banking) and capital raising advisory services for startup ventures in Africa and other emerging markets. They needed a brand that showed a mix of forward-thinking and energy, to match the start-ups mindset, with the seriousness and reliability of the financial sector.

process
The first step was to perform research on the competitors and other companies with similar products to make sure the Velociti Venture brand would be recognised and stand out from the competition. I also searched for visual references that would help me with the creative process.
The second step was to list the keywords I would like to convey in the brand. That also contributes to visualising the concepts into a graphic piece.
Then I proceeded to brainstorming and sketching logos, typography and shapes as a creative exercise until I developed a few options with potential. These options are then further developed with color studies.
These studies are sent for the client to gather feedback, and validate if the options are going in the right direction. This process is then iterated until a final logo is decided.
As a continuation, the visual identity surrounding the logo is developed, with graphic compositions studies. The iterative process repeats, culminating in the brand guidelines document.
results
With the brand guidelines defined, I developed a website using Wix as tool, in addition to several digital and print communication and marketing products, such as Word and Power Point template, social media post template, mug, T-shirt and notebook.
